Camping!!!

I love the oudoors so much! I'm going camping Friday - Sunday and can't wait! I've only ever been away with my family, so this should be a change as I'm going with a youth drama group and acting as a mentor. It should be fun!

I want to go alone or with friends soon too, then there is no responsibility needed for younger people and we can let our hair down (not that I have any hair to let down, haha)!

Are there any other camping fans here, or is there a reason why anyone doesn't like it?

I love camping too Jo! I'm all excited for Friday I wish it was real camping, and we had to catch our own food hehehe that would be fun! I'm also hoping for torrential rain because I love the rain and think it will be exciting (although all the kids will be all wet and miserable for the whole trip).

I've only ever camped in my back garden as a child, but I've always wanted to camp in the great outdoors.

Dan, you're in for a real treat! Camping in the great outdoors is one of the most amazing things ever! We will have to go when the kids go back to school and we can go fishing! That would be so much fun, I used to love fishing when I was younger!

I love camping I was camping last weekend with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme it was great. We went walking up a massive hill that took us about 2 hours to climb. But the view was great.

That's something I want to do next time I go camping by myself, or with my own friends - go walking for miles, but you know like you see on TV people walking in the proper gear with big heavy bags on their back... something like that!

I've just pinched my sisters walking boots too, I didn't realise how expensive they were to buy. Shocking!

yeah you think it's great to carry heavy loads on your back but after a while you will be knackered and in some pain.

I went camping in my friends back garden on Tuesday and Wednesday night which was really fun, then went to Gilwell Park, London Friday morning and came home Sunday evening. We had lots of fun putting the tents up, and I ended up taking them all down at the end which was lots of fun.

I agree, Ste. It's a pain having to carry around lots of bags, but it's worth it in the end. The adrenaline rush that you get is fantastic and makes the whole trip worth the while.

I can't wait to go camping again, I miss it already! Maybe I should bring my tent to the tournament and camp next to the football pitches instead of halls!

Yeah the adrenaline rush when you get to the top of what ever it is you climbed and then you see the view, it's fantastic.
